Our area

Llançà is a small Mediterranean village that covers an area of 28,625 km² and almost 5,000 inhabitants.

Located in the middle of a unique landscape, Llançà is surrounded by both land and sea, by two protected natural areas, the Cap de Creus Natural Park and the Albera Natural Park.

The small coastal town of Llançà is located 15 kilometres from the French border, and has two clearly differentiated areas:

The Vila de Llançà and the Port of Llançà. The historic centre is located in the Vila, built around its main square. The Port has developed over the course of this century. The Port and the Village together have approx. 5,000 inhabitants.

 

 

 

Within the municipality of Llançà there are numerous green areas and beaches of various sizes and conditions: from fine sandy or gravel beaches, to the smallest bays, which can generally be accessed on foot. Llançà can be described as a fairly reserved and quiet place.

 

 

In the nautical port of Llançà you can find moorings up to 12 m. There are enough moorings for rental and transit.

 

 

There are numerous paths for cycle touring, as well as circuits for mountain bikes. You can also practice tennis, paddle tennis, as well as all water sports.

 

 

 

Infrastructure:

Accommodation in family-run hotels and guesthouses or in holiday homes and flats. These are mostly rented through local or private agencies. Numerous restaurants of various categories are open all year round. Most visitors come from Catalonia or from France, Belgium and Germany.

Nightlife with bars is lively in the summer months, but never rises to an excessive noise level. Public safety is excellent. The surrounding area can be reached comfortably and quickly by car. Train to Figueres, with bus connections to Port de la Selva, Cadaqués, Roses and Empuriabrava.
